Crosby Selected by Cybercrime Support Network For National Military and Veteran Campaign

03.09.2021

Cybercrime Support Network (CSN) has selected Crosby Marketing Communications to create a national awareness and activation campaign to help military personnel, veterans, and their families recognize, report and recover from cybercrimes. Crosby will collaborate with CSN to develop the campaign strategy, brand identity, and integrated outreach effort featuring digital and social media, partnership engagement and targeted media relations.

The military and veteran community is disproportionately targeted for online scams, fraud, and identity theft by cybercriminals who exploit factors including the distance between family members, regular redeployments and relocations, high use of social media networks, and accessing government programs and benefits via online channels.

“Crosby is the perfect partner to help us motivate the military and veteran community to recognize and recover from the financial and emotional tolls of cybercrimes, which can also threaten our national security,” said Kristin Judge, CSN’s founder and CEO.

“We’re excited to use our expertise to help our nation’s service members and veterans fight back against online scammers,” said Crosby President and CEO Raymond Crosby. The firm works with clients including the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs and DAV (Disabled American Veterans) to promote programs that improve the lives of military and veteran families around the world.

To help extend the campaign’s reach and impact, CSN is creating partnerships with federal agencies, military and veteran service organizations, corporations, and foundations. An initial grant to launch the initiative was provided by Craig Newmark Philanthropies, the organization of craigslist founder Craig Newmark.

Crosby provides integrated advertising, public relations, social media and digital marketing services through specialized practices in Healthcare, Government, Nonprofits & Causes and Military & Veterans. The firm ranks #4 on PRWeek’s list of largest healthcare PR firms, #24 on O’Dwyer’s list of national PR agencies, and is a top provider on the GSA Advertising and Integrated Marketing Services (AIMS) schedule. Crosby has also been named a Top Workplace by The Washington Post for four consecutive years.

Cybercrime Support Network is a public-private, nonprofit collaboration whose mission is to serve individuals and businesses. The organization is supported by Craig Newmark Philanthropies, AT&T, Cisco Systems, Comcast, Google, Microsoft, NordVPN, Trend Micro and Verizon. For more information, visit Cybercrimesupport.org.
