Broadneck High School senior Emily McManus has received the Crosby Marketing & Media Studies Scholarship. The $5,000 award was presented by Ralph Crosby, Founder and Chairman of Crosby Marketing Communications, during the recent Scholarship for Scholars ceremony at the Chesapeake Arts Center in South Baltimore.
The Crosby Marketing & Media Studies Scholarship is awarded each year to a high school senior who has displayed the attributes and academic rigor necessary to excel in the fields of marketing or media.
“Emily is an exceptional young lady and is well deserving of this scholarship,” said Ralph Crosby. “It’s gratifying to help support worthy students who can become future leaders in the communications field.”
An AP Scholar with Distinction, Ms. McManus has also demonstrated athletic prowess in swimming and journalistic skill with her school newspaper. She is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, and has excelled in community service, working with autistic children and teaching young swimmers.
