U.S. Conference Of Catholic Bishops

Inspiring Healthy and Happy Marriages

Overview
Recent trends led the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to one conclusion: It’s time to reach out with a fresh message promoting healthier marriages.

Insight
In focus groups, the simple question “What have you done for your marriage today?” got everyone to open up. This innocent question irresistibly invites introspection and instantly highlights the importance that every day holds for a healthy marriage.

Approach
Make it real. With cameras rolling, we asked people across America what have they done for their marriage today? The answers are insightful, truthful, funny, profound, inspiring and above all—real. The closing message invites the viewer to visit ForYourMarriage.org for helpful tips about strengthening marriage.

Results
Since the public service advertising campaign launched in July 2007, it has delivered more than 1.3 billion audience impressions and an earned media value of more than $29 million. The television and radio spots have aired more than 250,000 times nationally, and more than a millions visitors have gone to ForYourMarriage.org. The campaign website also boasts 700 inbound links—the sign of a successful resource on the marriage topic.
